Yes, normally the original locations are kept in the new project generated by the Slicing plug-in. You can see that indirectly if you select this new project (by default named Slicing Export) in the GUI and click on a statement in the normalized code view (on the left): the original code view (on the right) should move to the corresponding line. Note however that some statements in the original code might be split into several ones in the normalized view, and that it can happen that some of these statements are included in the slices and not others.
